FEATURES
No balloons, rockets, race cars, or other fluff! Yes, this is an old-fashioned program that does what it does very well!
Complete control over the range of numbers used (positive and negative), the time allotted per problem, and the length of each testing session, either by time or number of problems.
All possible problems using the given range may be presented in a random order.
Persist mode re-asks each missed problem at the end of the test until all problems are answered correctly.
Flashcards may be printed for problems missed during a session.
Each student may choose either keyboard or mouse entry of answers.
Click on the [?] button at the top of the window to enter Help Mode. As the hand cursor passes over items on the screen, an explanation is displayed. Click [?] again to cancel.
_DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TEACHER AND STUDENT MODES_
TEACHER MODE is used for setting up a particular exercise that many students will use. The options selected may be saved into a file which may be loaded at a later time. For example, the test may include:
-Multiplication of 7,8, or 9 with integers from -12 to 12.
-6 seconds per problem.
-All possible problems presented once in a random order.
-Print flashcards for problems missed.
-Print 2 copies of the results; one for the student, and one for the teacher.
Once the [BEGIN] button is selected, the selection screen is not seen until the end of the testing session. Students will not be able to change anything except the entry mode (keyboard or mouse) and direction of entry (left to right or right to left).
To return to the selection screen after student testing is complete, hold the [option] key while selecting [Begin] on the testing screen, or while pressing [Next Student] on the results screen. To make any changes, the screen must be unlocked by clicking on the [lock] button at the top of the window and entering the current password. When the screen is re-locked, either by clicking the [lock] button or beginning a testing session, you are given an opportunity to change the password. You may only Quit the program when on the SETTINGS SCREEN.
STUDENT MODE allows students to select all options except PRINTER results, howver printouts may be selected from the RESULTS screen. A name is not required, options are not locked, tests may be aborted, and the student may move freely to the RESULTS or SETTINGS screen without presing [option].
The initial mode may be changed under the File Menu at the top of the screen. A password is required to enter Teacher mode at any time, or to unlock the screen after the setting are finalized. The initial password is password and may be changed by locking the screen in teacher mode with the lock button in the upper right corner.
